Darwinism vs. Creationism
The preceding of earth and its creatures is a very ambiguous and controversial
topic. Two highly debated topics are that of Darwinism and Creationism. One is
based on research and data while the other consists of belief. The controversy
between these two theories can be analyzed very closely and go into great
detail. It will be difficult to explain this controversy in such a small blog
but I will do my best to be as comprehensive and unbiased as possible.
To first make a decision more towards your preferences should be done after
understanding what both sides accept as true. Darwinism consists of science and
biological research which focuses on the
changes of living things throughout the history of life on earth. Darwinism believes
that living things share common ancestors and over time evolutionary change
brings out the formation of a new species. Creationism is the religious belief
that the almighty God has created everything including the earth and everything
within the planet. Unlike Darwinism, Creationism does not believe that
living things evolve into new specie over time. Big differences between these
two theories are their diverse concepts. Darwinism is a science which attempts
to prove its theory through scientific research. Creationism on the other hand
is not a science and attempts to substantiate its belief through the existence
of God and through biblical events. However, Creationists attempt to prove God
through scientific research of their own; this is very controversial because
they are crossing the line between religion and science. Though, no matter what
they attempt in order to verify their theory, they are currently unable to
prove how and where biological creatures came from throughout time. What makes
these theories difficult to prove are the incredibly long and uncertain period
of biological creatures, the earth, and the universe. It is difficult to fathom
the time period and coming of the universe and all it holds. On an unbiased
note, the research within Darwinism has been able to substantiate evidence
which helps support their theory where Creationism has not been able to have
any real credible proof of the existence of an all mighty being and ‘his’
creation of the universe. There is no correct belief because they are just
that; a belief. The acceptance of either theory is a personal choice that
should take in account of the beliefs of both sides.
